In order to facilitate networking between potential pilot city consortia and showcase a range of valuable research and innovation partners and investments supported by RCUK and Innovate UK, there will be a ‘Town Meeting’ held on 20 October in Birmingham.
It is recommended that representatives from potential consortia attend the event in order to network with other partners in looking to work in their city or with resources of potential value to pilot cities, have the opportunity to ask questions about the ambition and scope of the pilot call and develop their ideas for consortia proposals.
Registration for the Town Hall meeting is expected to open on 22 September but interested applicants may wish to save the date in diaries in advance. Further details about the venue in Birmingham and timing of the Town Hall meeting will also be made available on 22 September.
The meeting follows two successful consultation events were held in London and Glasgow during July which were well attended by participants from a variety of organisations and sectors. High energy and enthusiasm resulted in valuable outputs which will help to form the next phase.
Feedback received is supportive of the partnership, the proposed approach and the timeliness of the initiative.
